RAD Curatorial
is an annual program dedicated to fostering innovation in curatorial practice. Designed as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, collaboration, and community building, the initiative is pivotal in strengthening the Romanian art scene and its positioning within regional and global contexts. Following our 2023 pilot edition and a highly successful 2024 edition that brought together 31 curators from 16 countries, RAD Curatorial 2025 will convene both emerging and established curators for an intensive five-day program. This year combines curatorial discussions focused on local histories and political imaginaries in Central and Eastern Europe during and after state socialism, with a dynamic off-site experience, including guided tours to Bucharest’s private collections, galleries, and artist studios. For our third edition, RAD Curatorial launches an OPEN CALL, offering a new avenue for collaboration for the curators with a strong interest or expertise in the Romanian and/or Central and Eastern European art scene(s).

As Bucharest continues to flourish as a cultural destination, RAD remains committed to fostering local talent and positioning Romanian art at the forefront.
