Alexandru Rus

Based in Bucharest, Alexandru Rus collects modern and contemporary art, with a focus on Romania but also covering the broader Central and Eastern European region, and beyond. Surrealism and the Neo-Avantgarde are the pillars of the collection, which explores themes related to the subconscious, magic, and identity. The collection spans all visual media and has been built over more than 12 years, around works that reflect dilemmas, desires, acts of subversion or self-discovery.
