Job Piston
Job Piston is a curator, artist, and international program strategist whose work bridges performance, contemporary art, and cultural diplomacy. Currently Curator at Large for the 2025 Performa Biennial, Piston has spent over a decade shaping the field of live art in New York and abroad, organizing five editions of the Biennial and co-curating the 2023 Finnish Pavilion Without Walls, with the 2025 Lithuanian Pavilion Without Walls at Performa. He has partnered with numerous international organizations including Lithuanian Cultural Institute, Rupert, Finnish Cultural Institute New York, Frame Finland, and the Royal Norwegian Consulate General of New York. He is also the curator of Side Hustle Gallery with designer Kelly Wearstler His curatorial practice moves between mythology, gender studies, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, often working with artists to expand performance into new architectures, public sites, and genres. Piston has produced major commissions with Barbara Kruger, Zanele Muholi, Pakui Hardware, and Lina Lapelyte, and his exhibitions and projects have appeared with institutions including MOCA Los Angeles, Watermill Center, Performance Space New York, Kai Art Center, and Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art.
