Zina is a contemporary art Gallery founded in 2020 in Cluj-Napoca by the artists Maria Balea, George Crîngașu, Hortensia Mi Kafchin and Flaviu Rogojan.
A growing collective initiative, founded in 2020 by the same group of artists based in Cluj Napoca and Berlin, the gallery is continuing the Superliquidato (SPRLQDT) artist run space – a studio converted into a gallery -, active between 2014 and 2017 inside the notorious Paintbrush Factory artistic community. Zina was imagined as a support institution behind the artists dedicated to producing, researching, exhibiting and promoting contemporary art, following a core of democratic values.
With a program balancing between exhibiting represented artists and invited curatorial projects, the gallery aims to provide long term support for the local and regional contemporary art scene, as well as to promote local artists in the international art scene.
